💭💭💭

Please give me a chance to defend myself about watching Bloody Monday this really late. First of all, I have the world's worst pace when it comes to watching and catching up series. I don't get easily influenced by the hype and the rave of shows (well Goblin is one of the few times I gave in). I watch it when I feel like watching it. Second, I procrastinate my procrastination. So, this will not be the last one but there's going to be more of this. You can go ahead and judge me to death lol.

I am not justifying my behindhand watching the series but there is a beauty of it. The nostalgia and the humor of seeing the most sought Japanese Actors and Actresses in their fetus era. Have you seen Takeru Satoh's hairstyle here? When you see it in present times you'll have horrified expression plastered in your face and you question him from your screen "WHO HURT YOUR HAIRSTYLIST!?".

Overall Bloody Monday is a good drama. I don't have to be really hard on Haruma Miura and Takeru Satoh's acting here because the series is one of their early "hard" and "mature" drama of their career. Just to tell, I thought that Haruma gave the same reaction for scenarios that require different intensity of emotion. Like I could predict what he would feel and what his face would show (I am guilty of watching so hard on his face, I love that face lol). I love Haruma okay, I am looking forward to his improvement in the second season.

Hiroki Narimiya hands down stole every scene that he is in. His skills as an actor transcend through time. He is that damn good. Maybe if I watched it years later after the series completion, seeing Narimiya on-screen will give me different feelings that I have now. I CRY EVERY TIME. Y U RETIRE SO SOON MY LOVE.

To wrap it all up. Bloody Monday is still a good watch to this day, the action and the mind games that the show have can still compete with the newer shows. So if you haven't seen it, good job you're just like me only worse! Kidding, give it a try and hope you'll enjoy it!
