My long overdue MM Tiangge blogging. *Runs*
Last August 12, I attended a yearly event of Manika Manila. In their 12th year of this event it is my first time to finally attend and experience MM Tiangge [insert happy face here]. Before I forgot, Manika Manila is one of the biggest and known Ball Jointed Doll* community here in the Philippines. I started my fascination with BJD's when I was in high school and through Mistula*. From there, I was lead to stalking the community of Manika Manila, reading their member's own blog and be their fan. More of my BJD discovery and story on a separate post soon (in which I will find the perfect timing for it. Promise!)
It is more than just a Tiangge 🌸
It is also an event where BJD owners and collectors showcase their talent and friendship. They set up booths where they put their dolls in a creative display. They sell their handcrafted merchandise to other owners and also get to bond with fellow BJD owners at the same time. Sounds fun no?
Different but belong 🌸
I don't own any BJD yet, but still, I was welcomed like I was always been part of the community. So fun to see the people, you used to admire and *coughs* stalk before. You get to talk to them, laugh with them and exchange conversations that if I were to tell it to my highschool self it would definitely not believe anything.
It was fun.
The Event, The people... Everything is fun.
Some pictures to share and personal favorites 😀
